Paint Correction for Lamborghini in Manchester
Paint correction is the skilled machine polishing of clear coat to remove the defects that steal a car's shine. On a Lamborghini, where the paint is soft and the panels are sculpture, it is the difference between looking clean and looking new.

Coating and correction work dedicated to Lamborghini models.
Paint correction means removing a microscopically thin layer of clear coat with machine polishers and graded abrasive compounds, levelling the surface so that swirl marks, fine scratches, water spots and holograms disappear rather than being hidden. Fillers and glazes can mask defects for a week; correction removes them for good, and it is the essential foundation under any ceramic coating or PPF installation.
Lamborghini paint demands a careful hand. It is generally soft and sticky under the polisher compared with German paint, which means defects appear easily — a single careless wash with a gritty sponge can cobweb a bonnet — but also that aggressive compounds can haze it if rushed. Wide, flat panels like the Huracán's engine cover show everything under light, while the sharp creases and vents across Aventador and Revuelto bodywork call for small-pad machines and patience around edges where clear coat runs thinnest.
We measure paint depth as we work, panel by panel, and we will always tell you honestly which defects can be fully removed, which can only be softened safely, and which should be left alone. On a car worth more than most houses, restraint is a professional skill, not a limitation.
Single-stage enhancement vs multi-stage correction
A single-stage polish pairs one pad and one polish to remove light swirling and restore gloss — typically the right answer for a nearly-new car, a pre-sale refresh, or paint that has been carefully washed since delivery. It is also the standard preparation before a ceramic coating on a car already in good order.
Multi-stage correction attacks heavier defects with a cutting pass first, then a refining pass to restore clarity. It takes considerably longer and removes more clear coat, so it is reserved for cars with visible swirling, random scratches, bird-lime etching or the dull, grey look of oxidised paint. The honest conversation — how much gloss you want versus how much clear coat we should preserve — happens before any machine touches the car.
- Paint depth readings taken across every panel before polishing
- Test sections polished first so you can approve the finish level
- Small-pad machines for vents, creases and tight Aventador bodywork
- Edge and badge areas masked and worked by hand where needed
- Final inspection under colour-matched lighting, not workshop fluorescents
Defects correction can and cannot fix
Correction excels at swirl marks, fine scratches that have not broken through the clear coat, water-spot mineral etching, holograms left by poor previous polishing, and the general haze that builds over years of washing. It also sharpens the reflections in pearlescent and metallic finishes, which is why a corrected Giallo or Arancio car looks a full shade richer afterwards.
It cannot fix stone chips, scratches you can catch a fingernail in, cracked lacquer or peeling paint — those need paintwork or smart repair, and we will say so rather than polish around them and charge you. Orange-peel texture from the factory can be reduced but is usually best left, as flattening it consumes too much clear coat for the visual gain.
How it works
Assessment & wash
The car is inspected panel by panel under colour-matched lighting, then safely washed and fully decontaminated so every defect is visible before polishing begins.
Paint correction
Swirls, wash marring and light scratches are machine-polished out in stages, with paint depth readings taken throughout to protect thin or previously repaired panels.
Panel wipe & coating
Each panel is wiped down to bare, squeaky-clean paint, then the ceramic coating is applied section by section and levelled for an even, high-gloss finish.
Cure & final inspection
The coating cures undisturbed, high spots are checked under inspection light, and the car is handed back with straightforward aftercare guidance for its first washes.

How long does paint correction take on a Lamborghini?
A single-stage enhancement is usually a full day once washing and decontamination are included. Multi-stage correction on a Huracán or Aventador with heavier defects runs to two or three days. The curing of a coating afterwards adds further time if you combine the services.
Is paint correction safe on soft Lamborghini paint?
Yes, in experienced hands. Soft paint actually corrects with gentler pad and polish combinations than hard paint, and we take depth readings throughout so we never approach the base coat. The risk comes from rushing or using rotary techniques without measurement — neither happens here.
Will correction remove every scratch on my car?
It removes defects sitting within the clear coat: swirls, light scratches, haze and etching. Scratches deep enough to feel with a fingernail have usually cut through the clear coat and need paint repair instead. We assess every panel first and tell you plainly what result to expect.
Should I correct paint that is going under PPF?
Yes — film magnifies what sits beneath it and locks it in for years, so the paint should be corrected and refined before any film is laid. Even self-healing film cannot hide swirls underneath it. Correction first, then film, then coating over the top is the complete sequence.
Can matte Lamborghini paint be corrected?
No. Matte and satin finishes get their flat look from a textured clear coat, and polishing would shine it up in patches, ruining the finish permanently. Matte cars are prepared chemically only — deep cleaned, decontaminated and protected with a dedicated matte coating rather than corrected.
How do I keep the corrected finish swirl-free?
The finish is undone by washing technique, not time. Use a pre-wash foam, the two-bucket method, plush microfibre and no automatic car washes — then protect the result with a ceramic coating so the surface itself resists marring. Most owners pair correction with coating for exactly this reason.
